A 2022-ben megrendezett első ICONS - International Conservation and Science szakmai konferencia az OMRRK működésében rejlő lehetőségeket ismertette meg a külföldi kutatókkal. Az elmúlt négy év során az új műszerek segítségével olyan eredményeket sikerült elérni, amelyek időszerűvé teszik a kutatási folyamatok összegzését és nemzetközi előadók bevonásával a kutató restaurátori folyamatok irányvonalainak bemutatását. 

A 2026. április 23-24-re tervezett ICONS-X 2026 konferencia keretében a Getty Museum, a Rijksmuseum, a Kunsthistorisches Museum és az Antwerpeni Egyetem szakembereinek, valamint további nemzetközi kutatóknak és az OMRRK munkatársainak projektjein keresztül mutatjuk be a műtárgydiagnosztika és a kutató restaurátori szakterület jelenlegi eredményeit és jövőbeli fejlesztési irányait.

Előadást hallhatunk Rembrandt Éjjeli őrjárat (1642) című festménye barna tónusainak makro- és mikro-röntgendiffrakciós technikákkal történő elemzéséről, amely a Rijksmuseum által 2019 júliusában elindított, „Éjjeli őrjárat hadművelet” elnevezésű átfogó kutatási és konzerválási projekt részét képezi. A bécsi Kunsthistorisches Museum munkatársai is előadást tartanak az APPEAR projektről, amelynek keretében a múzeum múmiaportréin végzett kutatásokról számolnak be. A konferencia programjában szerepel egy új, mesterséges intelligencia (AI) által támogatott keretrendszer bemutatása is, amely a múzeumi szakembereket segíti a kulturális örökség részét képező műtárgyak és műemlékek megőrzésében.

The first ICONS – International Conservation and Science professional conference, held in 2022, introduced the potential in the OMRRK to foreign researchers. Over the past four years, new instruments have been used achieve results that make it timely to summarise the research processes and present the directions of research and restoration processes with the involvement of international speakers.

As part of the ICONS-X 2026 conference planned for 23-24 April 2026, we will present the results of projects carried out by experts from the Getty Museum, the Rijksmuseum, the Kunsthistorisches Museum and the University of Antwerp, as well as other international researchers and OMRRK staff, will present the current results and future development directions of art diagnostics and research restoration through their projects.

There will be a presentation on the analysis of the brown tones in Rembrandt's painting Night Watch (1642) using macro and micro X-ray diffraction techniques, which is part of a comprehensive research and conservation project "Night Watch Operation" launched by the Rijksmuseum in July 2019. Conservators from the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna will also give a presentation on the APPEAR project, reporting on research carried out on the museum's mummy portraits. The conference programme also includes the presentation of a new artificial intelligence (AI)-supported framework that assists museum professionals preserve cultural heritage artefacts and monuments.
